March
7, 2018
Dear
Parents/Guardians:
The
past several weeks have been particularly difficult on our allotment of snow
days for the 2017-2018 school year. As
of today, March 7, we have exhausted our available snow days. While it is very possible that we will make
it through the rest of the school year without having to close school, it is
important that we have a contingent plan.
Our plan for the remainder of the school year is as follows:
=
If
we must close school before our scheduled spring break (scheduled for March
26-April 2), the first day that will change from a vacation day to a regular
school day is Monday, April 2.
=
If
we need to close more than one day before spring break, we will convert
vacation days to regular school days starting with Monday, March 26 and will move
forward through the remainder of the week if additional days are necessary.
=
If
we need to close school after spring break, Friday, May 25, will be converted
to a regular school day for staff and students.
I
would like to thank all of our families for your understanding and support for
our school. While we are always
reluctant to close school, we will always err on the side of caution when it
comes to the safety of our students. Let’s
hope for warm, sunny weather for the remainder of the school year!
Sincerely,
Shawn
Bissetta
