Morning Program

Friday Finale

This year we have made a few adjustments to Morning Program and I wanted to make you aware of them. First, we are moving Morning Program back to the morning from 8:20 am to 8:50 am instead of having Friday Finale from 2:20pm to 2:50pm. If a snow day or delay occurs we will have Morning Program the following Monday and an All Call will go out to the parents as a reminder. Secondly, we will be hosting Morning Program once a month instead of weekly. The dates of Morning Program will be as followed: October 25th, November 22nd, December 20th, January 24th, February 28th, March 27th, April 24th, May 22nd, and June 12th. As a result, each month we will be having presentations from individuals from the High School and/or community as part of our Blackhawk CARES character education initiative. Morning Program will continue to be for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade students and be located in the Multipurpose Room. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

We believe that academic success in the Primary School is closely linked to a student’s positive self-concept. The team effort (staff, students, home, community) through Morning Program will guide each child to develop a positive self-image and respect for others, while fostering intellectual growth.

Children in Morning Program will demonstrate respect and pride for themselves and others by interacting in appropriate ways.

Children in Morning Program will demonstrate respect and pride for their surroundings whether they are in the classroom, school, home, or community.

Children in Morning Program will be happier about school and learning.

Children in Morning Program will feel that they belong and that they count as valued members of our school.

Children in Morning Program will develop a positive self-concept.

Through daily, positive interaction, the children will leave Morning Program feeling good about themselves, each other, staff, and community.

Children will be actively involved in varied activities each day.

Children in the Morning Program will show respect for school property and the property of others.

Children in Morning Program will show respect for themselves and others.

Children in Morning Program will show pride in their school, home, and community.
