February
11, 2019
Dear
Parents/Guardians:
The
past several weeks have been particularly difficult on our allotment of snow
days for the 2018-2019 school year. As
of today, February 11, 2019, we have one snow day remaining of our available
snow days. While it is very possible
that we will make it through the rest of the school year without having to
close school, it is important that we have a contingency plan. Our plan for the remainder of the school year
is as follows:
=
If
we must close school twice before our scheduled February break (scheduled for February
18-22), the first day that will change from a vacation day to a regular school
day is Friday, February 22, 2019 and we will move backwards from that day if
other make up days are needed.
=
If
we get through the February break and need to close school twice before the
April break, we will convert vacation days to regular school days starting with
Monday, April 15 and will move forward through the remainder of the week if additional
days are necessary.
I
would like to thank all of our families for your understanding and support for
our school. While we are always
reluctant to close school, we will always err on the side of caution when it
comes to the safety of our students. Let’s
hope for warm, sunny weather for the remainder of the school year!
Sincerely,
Shawn
