The Board of Education (BOE) has hired Perry Dewey, DCMO BOCES District Superintendent, as search consultant for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
The process the BOE agreed to is different from past searches. There will be no committees and the BOE will hire from an already established pool of candidates.
This process involves two listening sessions for teachers, students, and community members to voice their opinion on the current status and future goals of the school district. These sessions have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23 in the High School Cafeteria. The time frame for both days is 3:30 to 5:00 pm and 5:30 -7:00 pm. We hope you will take the time to share your input.
Mr. Dewey will share information from both sessions with the BOE. The BOE will then interview their top five candidates. They will narrow the search to two finalists that will spend a day in our district and present to the community in early June.
The BOE anticipates appointing a superintendent at their July 1, 2019 meeting.
