Teacher
Special Education Teacher - Primary School
POSITION:  Special Education Interventionist (Teacher)
LOCATION:  Primary School
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  
  • Selected candidate will be responsible for:
    • Providing Special Education services throughout the Primary School (Resource Room, Consultant, etc.)
    • Small group literacy instruction
    • Intensive literacy instruction to close achievement gaps for Primary School students
    • Intensive math instruction to close achievement gaps for Primary School students
    • Writing and monitoring IEPs
    • Assessing students while providing data collection and analysis
    • Participation on Student Support Team planning sessions to help develop tiered interventions both academically and behaviorally
Qualifications:  
  • New York State Special Education K-6/K-12 Certification and Elementary Education B-2/1-6 Certification
  • Preferred background in Interventions - Literacy / Math / Behavioral
  • Knowledge of intensive literacy instruction K-4 (examples: Leveled Literacy Intervention, Fountas and Pinnell, Heggerty, Phonemic Awareness, etc.)
  • Special Education Consultant / Resource Room experience

Responsible to:                   Middle/High School Principal

  • Provide general music instruction to students in grades 5 – 8
  • Chorus instruction to students in grades 5-8 and 9-12

Substitute Teachers needed 
Complete an Employment Application-Professional Staff and a Substitute Teacher Form (both can be found to the right under Documents).  Submit the forms to OACSD, PO Box 192, Oxford, NY 13830 or drop off at one of the main offices. 
Pay is between $100-110 a day. 

Support Staff
School Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors
School Bus Drivers & Monitors needed
