The school year is off to a great start at the Primary School. The hard work and dedication of the faculty and staff over the summer is really paying off for the students with the use of technology throughout the building and new teaching strategies being implemented. The students are off to a great start with their infectious attitude and contagious willingness to learn. Many events have been taking place at the Primary School, specifically:

the Blackhawk visited the UPK and Kindergarten classrooms to teach the students about the Blackhawk Pledge; a Pirate visited the UPK and sent them on a search for the hidden treasure; Mrs. Glozik’s class visited the Good Karma Food Truck; the 2nd grade visited the Chenango County Historical Society; the entire school participated in Fire Prevention Week with visits to the Firehouse; and also participated in the Fall Parade throughout the school. If you have a chance to stop by the Primary School, make sure you get to check out the new ‘Introducing the Class of 2028’, and “Who is this Blackhawk’ Showcases in front of the library. This is a great way to get to know more about the faculty and staff that are in the building! I want to thank everyone that came to open house, it was great to have such an amazing turnout and see everyone actively involved in the Primary School!

Primary School Principal

============================================================================================================
The Primary School is a warm and welcoming place that puts the student and family first. We are committed to a balanced education focusing not only on academics, but also on social and emotional growth. We work to build a strong foundation for our students' continued future success.

Grade level teacher teams collaborate daily to ensure that all students achieve the same essential outcomes.  Our educational program promotes both progress and achievement. Our building staff models the commitment to our district's vision, "A Leader in Achievement, One Student at a Time."

If you were to ask why should you enroll your child in the Oxford Primary School, one would say, "its children and its staff."  Visitors are made to feel welcome and the small school atmosphere allows for personal relationships to be built.
