I was born and raised in Maine, NY. I received my undergraduate degree from Binghamton University. I then received a scholarship to attend the University of Florida, where I earned my MFA in Theatre Performance. While at UF, I taught several undergraduate courses in acting, improv comedy, theatre appreciation, and oral interpretation. I spent a few years exploring the theatre world by working at several organizations, including Tri-Cities Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, The American Theatre Wing (Tony Awards), and The Cider Mill Playhouse.
Eventually, I found myself feeling the desire to return to the classroom and so I returned to college to become a teacher. I received my MS in Secondary English Education from Elmira College. I spent several years teaching 7th and 8th grade ELA before moving up to 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English. I've also taught college level acting courses at the University of Florida and Binghamton University.
I'm thrilled to be working at Oxford Academy and to be returning for my fourth year. I currently teach English 10, TC3 101/102, TC3 201, and Media Production.
I know that this school year will be crazy, but I also know that we will get through this together; I will be with you every step of the way. If you need help with anything related to my classes, never hesitate to send me an
email or give me a call.
