Primary School and High School Principal Interview Committees
We are conducting Primary School Principal interviews the morning of July 30.  Looking for parents and community members to be part of the process.  If interested, please contact Michele Rice (607-843-2025, ext. 4040 or [email protected]) by Friday, July 26.  You must be able to attend the entire morning of interviews.  The timeframe is: starting around 7:45 am through noon at the Oxford Middle School.

We are conducting High School Principal interviews the afternoon of July 30.   Looking for parents and community members to be part of the process.  If interested, please contact Michele Rice (607-843-2025, ext. 4040 or [email protected]) by Friday, July 26.  The timeframe is: starting around 1 pm through 4 pm at the Oxford Middle School.

Oxford Academy Board of Education Meetings

The Oxford Academy School Board is a five-member elected body that adopts policy for the daily operation of schools and sees that school laws are properly explained, enforced, and observed. Each member serves a three-year term. School board meetings are normally held on the first Monday of the month in the Middle School Conference Room, 12 Fort Hill Park.

Meeting agendas, materials, and minutes are maintained in the District Office at 12 Fort Hill Park and on the Oxford Academy website. For more information about school board activities, please contact Michele Rice, Clerk of the Board, at 607- 843 - 2025, ext. 4040 or [email protected].

 The public wishing to speak to the Board of Education will be allowed a period of time to do so under the following guidelines:


  •      Speakers will be limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes and the entire public comment session to a maximum of thirty (30) minutes (which may be waived by a majority vote of the Board);
  •      Speakers are requested to stand, state their name, address, and topic.  A sign-in sheet may be circulated prior to the start of the meeting to expedite this segment of the meeting;
  •      Speakers will not be allowed to personally attack any Board Member, administrator, or any of the public present.  Also, no comments by the speakers will be permitted that deal with Executive Session subjects, e.g. individual personnel matters, discipline issues pertaining to specific individuals including students; and Speakers will not be allowed to read letters (they should be submitted to the Board to read and then give a brief synopsis of content of the letter.
