Welcome to Oxford Academy's National Honor Society!

National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Students are invited to join Oxford Academy's Chapter of National Honor Society in their junior year. To be eligible for this honor, students must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 90 or higher. Candidates are evaluated based on leadership, service, character, and scholarship. The Faculty Council will consider each application and will make the final decision for membership.

Membership in the National Honor Society is a significant academic honor as well as a personal achievement.

Help Us By Donating To Our Community Fund

Members of Oxford Academy’s chapter of the National Honor Society are dedicated to our organization's four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. With these four founding principles in mind and commitment to our role as a service organization, we have embarked on a plan to raise money to establish a Community Outreach Fund.

We hope to establish this fund to help students and families of the Oxford Academy & Central Schools attend school functions and field trips even if they are struggling financially. One significant aspect of being a student is going on field trips, attending dances and seminars, and other opportunities that enrich the educational experience. Unfortunately, many families in our community struggle financially to cover just the basics and can’t afford to send their children on these trips or give them money to attend school functions. NHS would cover or contribute to covering these costs for students and families in financial need.

We have already raised nearly $200 just from a small fundraiser we had at school. However, this is not enough to have the impact we are hoping to have. Please consider working with us to help raise funds for this worthy cause! If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call or email. If you cannot partner with us but would like to make a small donation to our efforts, you can send a check to Oxford Academy High School made out to the National Honor Society. All donations are tax-deductible! Again, any help or support you can provide would be much appreciated!
