Our Mission

We will provide every student with an engaging and comprehensive education that prepares them for their unique futures and empowers them to thrive as contributing members of society.

Our Vision

We are an exemplary educational institution committed to delivering innovative, personalized learning experiences that honor each student's unique needs, aspirations, and potential.

Oxford Academy High School has approximately 210 students in grades 9-12 where class size averages between 8-22 students.  We emphasize personalized education and a supportive learning environment by offering a variety of courses including building trades, pathways, agriculture, various electives, and college level courses through SUNY Morrisville and Tompkins Cortland Community College.

  • Strengths of the High School (what is unique about our school culture?)
    • Every senior class makes a mural on the walls of our school.
    • Small class sizes with more student/teacher engagement.
    • Many staff members have deep roots in our community.
    • Our entire school comes together to cheer on our athletes as they go on to state championships .
    • Our students share kind messages for other students and staff on the Kindness eWall.
    • Our attachment to the primary school (same building) allows high school students to do work-study and hold events with primary school students like pumpkin painting/carving, reading books to kindergartens, and giving narrative speeches to 1st graders.
  • Specific accomplishments, remarkable data points, and programs that we would like to celebrate
    • High number of students were inducted into National Honor Society (40% of the Junior class)
    • Over 90% graduation rate the last three years
    • Strong core departments, language, sports, music and art programs.
    • Pathways/Personal Finance classes and BOCES Work Based Learning Experiences prepare students for life after high school.
    • We are building a new AgroSTEAM wing this summer.
