Subject: Update to Instructional Calendar – Emergency (Snow) Days
Dear Oxford Community,
I am writing to provide an update regarding our instructional calendar as we approach the final months of the school year.
To date, we have only utilized two emergency (snow) days, leaving four unused days in our calendar. As a result, and with approval from the Board of Education, we are able to return those days to students and staff. The designated give-back days are as follows:
- June 26
- May 22
- May 8
- May 26
Please note that if additional emergency closure days are needed between now and the end of the school year, these give-back days will be reinstated in reverse order.
Assuming no further closures are required, the last day of instruction for high school students will be June 16, with Regents exams scheduled through June 25. The final week of school for Primary School and Middle School students (June 22–June 25) will consist of half-days.
We understand that calendar adjustments can impact family schedules, and we appreciate your flexibility as we make these changes. Our goal is to maximize instructional time while also honoring our commitment to return unused emergency days when possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,

Nicholas A. Colosi
Superintendent of School
Oxford Academy and Central School District
