Hello Oxford Community,
Attached you will find an updated policy addressing vaping in the district. Recently, through our capital project, we installed environmental sensors, including vape detection sensors, in our High School (HS) bathrooms and locker rooms. This policy update establishes clear procedures and consequences when these sensors are activated.
As a reminder, the use of tobacco and tobacco-related products is prohibited in and on all school grounds, in accordance with Health Department regulations and the District’s Code of Conduct. This prohibition includes vaping and the use of electronic cigarettes or similar devices.
A copy of the updated policy is also available on our district website.
As always, the health and safety of our students, staff, and visitors remain our top priority.
